Clare is the founder and visionary behind State of Balance - a platform created to inspire awareness, personal growth, healing, and expansion.
With a unique ability to bridge modern science, metaphysics, and spirituality, Clare brings grounded wisdom to the world of holistic wellbeing. She is a devoted Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditation teacher, known for guiding others back to balance through embodied practices and intuitive connection.
Clare’s journey began with a background in the medical industry, giving her a strong foundation in evidence-based health. Her passion for natural medicine led her to pursue studies in Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, and Acupuncture, alongside becoming a qualified Pilates instructor.
Through State of Balance, Clare seeks to make holistic health accessible, relatable, and empowering. She’s committed to demystifying wellness practices that have been made to feel overcomplicated or out of reach - so that more people can feel informed, connected, and confident in their own healing journey.
Her mission is simple: to share knowledge and wisdom, to educate, connect, and empower others to live in harmony with themselves and the world around them.
Clare’s Story
Clare’s path into health and wellness began over thirteen years ago, sparked by a deep curiosity about nutrition, naturopathy, and herbal medicine. With a lifelong connection to movement and wellbeing, she discovered the practice of Yoga at seventeen, and it quickly became the foundation of her life and work.
Seven years into her personal practice, Clare completed her first of many Yoga Teacher Trainings, marking a powerful transition from her previous career in the Western medical industry into the world of holistic health and embodied healing. What began as a personal passion soon evolved into a full-time profession, as Clare began teaching Yoga and Pilates, while deepening her studies and self-inquiry along the way.
Driven by a relentless commitment to learning, Clare has trained with a wide array of mentors across disciplines, weaving together a rich and diverse tapestry of wisdom. Her teachings draw from multiple lineages, including Hatha, Tantric, Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga, integrated with the philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, breathwork, meditation, and myofascial anatomy.
Following the teachings of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, Clare is especially passionate about working with the energetic body, exploring the interconnectedness of mind, body, soul, and spirit to support healing, vitality, and longevity.
Her love for Traditional Chinese Medicine blossomed during her Yin Yoga training, where she studied Meridian Theory and the Five Elements, ultimately leading her to pursue formal qualifications. Clare is currently completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) as she trains to become a Chinese Medicine Doctor, Acupuncturist, and Herbalist.
Today, Clare shares her knowledge in a way that is both educational and relatable, supporting her students and clients through a multidimensional approach that blends ancient traditions with modern insights.
